“Maybe my favorite place I’ve ever spent money to stay – and highly recommended if you ever visit the area. Everything is high end tasteful minimalism, which is also somehow very friendly and welcoming, surrounded by rolling acres of undeveloped land. I’m a birder, and I was visiting Hill Country primarily to look for the rare Black-capped vireo. I liked the place so much I almost hoped I wouldn’t see the vireo and would then have an excuse to come back to the Charmadillo!"
